Save the Dates: Federal Practice Summit and 16th Bench and Bar Conference

Attention attorneys practicing in the Federal Circuit: mark your calendars. There are two events coming up in May and June, and registration is now open for both of them.

The Federal Circuit has announced that it will be hosting the 2014 Federal Practice Summit, and the Federal Circuit Bar Association has announced the 16th Annual Bench & Bar Conference.

Federal Practice Summit

The Federal Circuit Court of Appeals has partnered with the Federal Circuit Bar Association to host the Federal Practice Summit, held May 14, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., located at the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Chief Judge Randall R. Rader himself will make opening remarks and introduce the topics of the day including "The Sovereign as Litigant," "Hot Button Issues in Litigation," and "Government Intervention, and Amicus Participation."

In addition, you will receive tips on appellate briefing and oral argument, and listen in on a judges roundtable. To register for the 2014 Federal Practice Summit click here. Admission to the Federal Practice Summit is free for Federal Circuit Bar Association members, and you have the option to receive CLE credit.

16th Annual Bench & Bar Conference

The Federal Circuit Bar Association's 16th Annual Bench & Bar Conference will be held from June 18 - June 21, 2014, at the Grove Park Inn located in Asheville, North Carolina. The theme is "Sharpening Case Management: The Challenges at Home and Abroad," and the conference will have meetings about topics including IP protection trends, agency action trends, ethics and civility, damages litigation, customs enforcement and cybersecurity, to name a few.
