San Francisco Passes Law Targeting Pit Bull Dogs
Following in the footsteps of Denver's City Council, yesterday San Francisco's Board of Supervisors passed a law targeting pit bull dogs. The new ordinance is designed a reaction to another vicious dog bite attack where a 12-year-old boy was mauled to death. The ordinance takes effect January 1, 2006, and requires owners to spay or neuter the breed, and get breeding permits from the city.
