Rihanna's Trainer Sues for Unpaid Wages
Everything comes with a price.
That includes what it cost for Rihanna to keep herself looking good.
Grammy-winning music artist Rihanna has run into some legal trouble with her trainer who is suing for unpaid wages, TMZ celebrity site reports.
Rihanna's trainer Cindy Percival filed the lawsuit against the singer in L.A County Superior Court. She claims Rihanna owes her $26,144.14 in unpaid wages from 2009.
The trainer claims she was hired for "exclusive personal training services" that cost $1,500 per day but was not paid for several weeks of work between September and October.
This case sounds a lot like the breach of contract lawsuit filed by a husband and wife team of trainers against Oprah's Harpo, Inc, as previously discussed.
Dina Castillo and Frank Nunez were asked to create a customized fitness program for Oprah and her employees but lawsuit claims they were unpaid for several months of work and training.
As a result the trainers filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Oprah's Harpo seeking damages and to be compensated for the fair value of the services performed.
In Rihanna's case, her trainer is asking for $2,644.14 in travel expenses needed to go to Europe and meet the 22-year-old singer on location.
Rihanna has said in her interview with People that her fitness regimen includes lots of cardio and weight training two or three times a week. In addition, she also watches her diet, eats lots of vegetables, snacks on fruit all day, and drinks plenty of water.
Rihanna is scheduled to launch a U.K. tour in April.
