Rick Springfield DUI Mug Shot: Was 80s Singer Crying?
Maybe it was in celebration of his alma mater, General Hospital, not getting the ax along with other daytime soaps.
Maybe he still really wishes he had Jesse's girl.
Whatever the reason, there's no excuse for the news that Rick Springfield was arrested this past weekend for driving under the influence. And the Rick Springfield mugshot is certainly a memorable one.
Pulled over while cruising in his vintage Corvette through the ever pretentious Malibu, Reuters reports that Springfield was spotted speeding on Sunday night. He had a blood alcohol level of .10.
And because we're talking 80's pop star here, there's a glorious mug shot.
Sporting long hair and teary eyes, the Rick Springfield mug shot tells a tale of a former teen idol gone awry.
And looking suspiciously like he's had some work done.
The man is 61, but the Rick Springfield mug shot pictures someone at least 30 years younger.
Besides learning that it's not the best idea to tear up during mug shots if you're a quasi-celebrity, the public can learn a valuable lesson from Rick Springfield.
If law enforcement suspects that you are driving under the influence, they have a myriad of valid excuses to explain why they pulled you over. While officers stated that Springfield was speeding, they could have claimed that he was not staying in his lane, that he didn't use a signal when changing lanes, or that he was driving recklessly given the situation.
In other words, if you're driving under the influence, don't think that being very careful will prevent from being caught.
