Rick Ross' House Site of Murder Investigation by Miami Police
Did Rick Ross murder someone?
It doesn't seem so, but 39-year-old Gregory Paul Nesbitt was found shot dead outside the rapper's Miami home early Wednesday morning. His body was located just inside the gate on the front lawn, and his car was nearby.
Ross lives elsewhere, using the home as a combo guest house and recording studio. Investigators say he wasn't present at the time of the shooting.
Still, they want to speak to him, according to the Miami New Times. He's not a suspect, but he could have information on who should be considered one.
Police will likely contact Rick Ross about the murder through his attorneys, as it's almost never a good idea to openly speak to law enforcement about a crime committed at your home unless you are the victim. They'll likely want to know if he knew Nesbitt, and if he can identify a vehicle one witness claims was seen driving away from the scene.
Investigators are also likely to be interested to know if Nesbitt has any connection to Ross' less than legal activities. He's been arrested on gun, assault and marijuana charges, and once claimed to be affiliated with Carol City Cartel and other local gang members.
It's incredibly suspicious when someone is murdered at the home of someone with a known criminal past.
We'll likely know more in a few days about just what Nesbitt was doing at the home of Rick Ross. Murder investigations take some time, so there will be no instant results.
