'Real Housewives' Star Porsha Williams Is Finally Divorced

After a two-and-a-half years of drama, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha Williams has finalized her divorce with Kordell Stewart.

The reality TV housewife wrapped up her divorce in about eight months, leaving her plenty of time to allegedly stir up rumors about her now ex-husband's sexual orientation, reports TMZ.

What's next for Williams now that her divorce is done?

Last Time on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'...

Even though their divorce went fairly quickly -- less than nine months -- it hasn't exactly been a picnic for Williams or Stewart. Stewart filed for divorce in March, but before Williams was officially served, she found out via Twitter.

Williams and Stewart's relationship was described as "controlling" by many of Williams' fellow housewives, despite the fact that her opener proclaimed she had a "picture perfect life." (Her Season 6 tagline is "I'm still standing. And I'm making my own rules.")

She's doing a fair bit better than some of her fellow cast members, probably since she doesn't have any kids. Between former "Housewives" Sheree Whitfield and the notorious Kim Zolciak, there was a fair amount of legal blood spilled over child support and visitation rights in 2012.

Without child support and visitation issues to work out, Williams and Stewart likely only had to deal with shared assets and alimony to finalize their divorce.

Williams has not been quoted as saying her ex-husband is gay, but TMZ reports that Stewart's lawyer hopes she will "stop vilifying Kordell at every opportunity."

Stewart, a former quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, adamantly denies the allegations that's he's any kind of sexual but hetero. It's worth noting that, despite Stewart's distaste for the rumors, courts have ruled that calling someone gay isn't necessarily slander.

In order to sue his ex-wife for defamation over spreading such rumors, the former athlete would need to prove that it was both untrue and something that caused him some sort of financial injury. And while it would be hilarious to see Stewart testifying about how "not gay" he is, it's highly unlikely that he lost any money or work under the specter of his purported homosexuality.

Maybe Bravo will incite a lawsuit just so that Phaedra Parks can be Williams' lawyer.
