Grace Kelly's grandson, Monaco Prince Pierre Casiraghi, suffered a broken jaw in a New York City bar brawl that allegedly began as an argument over supermodels.

The fight broke out about 2:20 a.m. Saturday, and ended with former Manhattan club owner Adam Hock, 47, hauled off to jail, the New York Daily News reports. But what led up to the fight is in dispute.

Hock, a former Rutgers football star who once owned the Hawaiian Tropic Zone in Times Square, claims the 24-year-old Prince and his posse started it all by harassing some supermodels at Hock's table.

“They were touching the girls, grabbing them the way Europeans feel they can touch whatever woman they want in New York,” Hock’s lawyer told the Daily News.

Prince Pierre Casiraghi and pals “teased, they harassed, and finally, they assaulted” the supermodels, and Hock “had to defend himself and the women he was with,” Hock’s lawyer said.

But supporters of Prince Casiraghi say Adam Hock started the bar fight by sucker-punching the Prince and his crew, after someone at Hock’s table invited them over for a drink.

Whatever happened, Adam Hock was the only person arrested in the bar brawl. He faces misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment. But if Hock’s claim of self-defense proves true, the charges may be dismissed.

In addition to criminal charges, Prince Pierre Casiraghi and friends may pursue civil lawsuits for battery, the Daily News reports. The civil suits would likely allege that Hock’s irresponsible acts caused harm to the Prince and his friends. In a civil battery suit, the Prince would only need to prove that Hock touched him without consent.

But Adam Hock may pursue his own civil suit against Prince Pierre Casiraghi, Hock’s lawyer told the Daily News. Hock was seen leaving a doctor’s office Monday with his arm in a sling, which could be an attempt to lay the grounds for a possible injury claim in connection with the bar brawl.
