Practice Point, a Legal Solution Made for In-House Attorneys

Earlier this month, Thomson Reuters, the company behind Westlaw, Practical Law, and FindLaw, launched Practice Point, a new legal solution that satisfies the need for both expertise and efficiency by delivering relevant the content and tools you need for a particular task.

If that's good, this is even better: Practice Point was specifically designed to meet the needs of in-house attorneys. That's right, someone is finally taking the time to give in-house counsel the TLC they deserve. Let's take a look.

Content, Expertise, and Technology

Thomson Reuters' Practice Point works by taking the best content from Westlaw and Practical Law, curated by experts and attorneys, and organized by areas, projects, and tasks. (Disclosure, if you missed it above: Thomson Reuters is FindLaw's parent company.) Task-based menus make it easy to jump into a project and get moving easily, efficiently, and with confidence.

For example, if you're launching a new product, everything you might need is right there. Practice Point allows you to select between manufacturing agreements, intellectual property issues, insurance coverage, product liability and antitrust considerations. Practice Point features Practical Law checklists to help you move through work smoothly, addressing key business and legal issues related to your task.

Add in toolkits, practice notes, and Drafting Assistant Essentials and -- well, you'd still just be hitting the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the tools and technology included. Practice Point can't promise to make drafting manufacturing agreements fun, but it can probably make them easier.
