Plaxico Burress, N.Y. Giants Wide Receiver, Indicted on Gun Charges
Plaxico Burress, the New York Giants Wide Receiver, was indicted by a Manhattan Grand Jury in New York City, FindLaw just confirmed.
The grand jury indictment is the result of an ongoing NYPD and Manhattan, D.A. investigation after Burress accidentally shot himself with a Glock pistol at a NYC nightclub last November.
A handgun, a rifle, ammunition and clothing were seized by police, pursuant to a court-ordered search of Burress's home on December 23, 2008 in Totowa, New Jersey.
Burress is represented by criminal defense lawyer Benjamin Brafman, whose client list in high-profile cases has included organized crime figures, entertainment professionals like Sean 'P.Diddy' Combs, and convicted class-action lawyer Melvyn Weiss.
