NYC Restaurant Fed Celebs Penis-Shaped Dumplings: Lawsuit

An ex-bartender has sued upscale Manhattan Chinese restaurant Chin Chin, accusing its employees and owner Jimmy Chin of sexual harassment and assault. The woman, Yvonne Diaz, claims her co-workers would often make penis-shaped dumplings and then hold them to "their crotch areas making it look like they had big penises."

Diaz also alleges the phallic dough was often fed to Chin Chin's celebrity clientele, which includes Sean "Diddy" Combs, Mariah Carey, Tyra Banks and Jennifer Lopez.

While this may violate local food safety standards, it's kind of irrelevant to Yvonne Diaz's complaint. The ex-bartender is suing Jimmy Chin and Chin Chin for sexual harassment -- not feeding her contaminated food. And in this regard, she's got a whole list have complaints.

In addition to the penis-shaped dumplings, the suit claims that Diaz's co-workers would often hold a pair of oranges to their chests. They'd then approach her and say, "Nay Nays; Nay Nays is very good."

You can only guess what they were trying to do.

Pornography was also part of the restaurant's weekly ritual, according to the suit. Each Sunday, her co-workers would meet in the kitchen and watch X-rated films, reports the New York Post. They'd often ogle her, and she was groped on multiple occasions.

Alone, penis-shaped dumplings likely wouldn't be enough for Yvonne Diaz to win her sexual harassment suit. But when you add in the pornography, the groping and the sexual suggestive comments, she's got a pretty good case. That is, if the allegations are true. Jimmy Chin told the Post that they were not.
