Nicolas Cage Arrested: 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' Posts Bail

He owes the IRS over $14 million. He lost his castle to foreclosure. He's clearly headed towards bankruptcy. And now he's drunkenly taunting cops to arrest him in New Orleans

Nicolas Cage, arrested by New Orleans police over the weekend and charged with domestic abuse, was disturbing the peace and by all accounts quite drunk over the weekend.

And as if that wasn't enough, he was bailed out by Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Caught up in drunken revelry, Cage and his wife were found on a French Quarter street corner arguing, reports the Daily News. They couldn't agree as to which house was their rental. Nonetheless, the paper reports that Nicolas Cage tried to drag his wife into one of the homes.

Eventually, Cage began hitting several parked cars, and then tried to enter a cab, according to the Daily News. He eventually ended up taunting policed, daring them to arrest him apparently, and they finally obliged.

Nicolas Cage spent 12 hours in custody until Dog showed up to bail him out.

Don't worry--the two aren't friends. Dog the Bounty Hunter was just earning his keep as a bail bondsman, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Police found no marks on Cage's wife, reports the Times, and she has declined to press charges.

Even if New Orleans prosecutors choose not to proceed with the domestic violence case, they may prosecute Cage for disturbing the peace and public drunkenness.

After all, this wasn't his first drunken encounter with New Orleans police, notes the Los Angeles Times. Last month he had to be removed from an upscale restaurant after a little too much wine and little too much screaming.
