Naked Unicyclist Arrested for Distracting TX Drivers

Texas police arrested a man riding a unicycle naked, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Joseph Glynn Farley, 45, was charged with indecent exposure. He was spotted by cops and witnesses riding in the buff across a bridge 20 miles southeast of Houston.

Surprisingly, Farley wasn't drunk at the time.

So if not booze, what motivated him to cycle in his birthday suit?

It might've been due to a mental disability. Farley's 73-year-old father, Carl, says his son suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and he sometimes does unusual things.

Treatment is difficult because Farley doesn't believe he's sick and refuses medication, his father said.

You can check out Farley's unusual trip below. Be forewarned, the video is NSFW.

Indecent exposure is a Class B misdemeanor in Texas. It occurs when a person intentionally shows their privates to arouse another and someone else sees it and is alarmed.

If Farley is found to actually have a mental disability, prosecutors could have leeway. Since it appears indecent exposure in Texas requires a person act intentionally, Farley could claim his schizophrenia caused him to be unable to distinguish between right and wrong. Here's hoping the local prosecutors have more pressing cases to prosecute.

Farley told police he liked the feeling of riding his unicycle naked. His clothes were found at the base of the bridge. Farley's bond was set at $1,500.
