Mystikal Jailed for Domestic Violence. Again.
Rapper Mystikal just checked into a Louisiana jail to serve out the remainder of his 90-day sentence, TMZ reports. The punishment stemmed from a domestic violence charge back in February.
Mystikal (real name Michael Tyler) was arrested in Baton Rouge for domestic abuse. It's remains unclear what actions led to his arrest, but a judge ruled that it was enough to violate his probation.
Yes, the singer of hits as "Shake Ya Ass" and "Bouncin' Back (Bumpin' Me Against the Wall)" was on 5-years probation at the time. But why was he on probation to begin with?
Sexual battery. At the time Mystikal pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 6 years in prison. The victim accused the rapper and two of his bodyguards of forcing her to perform oral sex on them. The victim claimed they did it because they allegedly believed she had stolen $80,000 in checks from them.
This time around, the judge was more merciful on the rapper. Mystikal was given 9 days credit as time served for his detention following his February arrest. Problem is that still leaves him with 81 days in the slammer.
An interesting aside, Mystikal was also required to register as a sex offender in Louisiana following his initial guilty plea. Take a look at his happy mug here.
Hopefully, the rapper will be able to move past his previous run-ins with domestic violence. For now, Mystikal and company have yet to comment on his return to jail.
