Motley Crue's Vince Neil Charged with Battery
Vince Neil has had an interesting career.
First there was Motley Crue. Then there were race cars, followed by a less than stellar solo career. Again with Motley Crue. And then The Surreal Life. This last one ended in a marriage, by the way.
We can now add criminal poker to the list. Oh yes, Vince Neil is being charged with battery after he allegedly poked three people, including ex-girlfriend Alicia Jacobs.
On March 24, Vince Neil reportedly barged into a theater located in the Las Vegas Hilton, where he confronted his recent-ex, Alicia Jacobs, who was sitting with two friends.
Neil began shouting obscenities, reports Reuters. And then, according to court documents acquired by E! Online, poked each person in the shoulder with a "f--k you."
After an investigation, prosecutors decided to charge him with battery and disorderly conduct, notes Reuters.
Some of you might be giggling at the idea of Vince Neil being charged with battery for poking people. This blogger certainly is.
Criminal battery only requires that a person physically touch another in a threatening or offensive manner, or in a way that causes injury. Technically, jabbing someone with your index finger while shouting at them is a threatening action. And as some of you may now, being poked kind of hurts.
Vince Neil is challenging the Alicia Jacobs' version of events, and has decided to plead not guilty, according to E! Online.
He might win on the battery charge given the absurdity, but if the events are somewhat true, he might have trouble with the charge of disorderly conduct.
