Mary-Kate Olsen's Secret and Smokey Wedding

Mary-Kate Olsen reportedly married Olivier Sarkozy in a private ceremony in Manhattan this past weekend. She is one of the Olsen twins, famous for their childhood television roles on "Full House" and now for their fashion labels. He is the brother of former French President, Nicolas Sarkozy.

The couple married in front of 50 guests in the garden of a private residence. Then the group moved inside for a party decorated with "bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes and everyone smoked the whole night," a source told Page Six.

No Smoking Snaps

There are no photographs to support the claim that the decorations consisted of cancer sticks because the couple asked guests to turn over their cell phones before the wedding. But for those who know the Olsens, or one of them, it comes as no surprise, as Mary-Kate in particular is known for her partying and was famously friends with actor Heath Ledger, who died of a drug overdose in 2008.

The absence of images is unfortunate, however, for fashion fans. The Olsen twins are known for their somber, minimalist, understated (and some would say overpriced) designs for The Row and Elizabeth and James. It is impossible to guess what exactly Mary-Kate wore to the event but it is safe to bet that it was probably not a classic princess wedding dress with a train ... or a veil (because smoking).

Facts and Figures

Mary-Kate and Olivier were engaged last year. She is 29 and he is 46. He is a banker, has been married before and has two children. She has never been married and has no children.

Although substantially younger than her new husband, Mary-Kate may be worth much more than the banker Sarkozy. The Olsen twins are each reportedly worth about $150 million, a fact widely discussed this past summer when their fashion lines got sued by unpaid interns.
