Man Attacked Teen, then 'Tebowed' Before He Left

A man allegedly "Tebowed" following an assault on a youth in Shenango Township, Pennsylvania.

Tim Tebow and Tebowing has clearly jumped the shark as now even petty criminals are striking the pose following their crimes.

The pose had been oft-copied/mocked by other athletes (just YouTube it). And the Pennsylvania perp allegedly struck the pose after he struck a teen off a riding lawn mower, reports The Smoking Gun.

If you don’t know, the term “Tebowing” refers to striking a pose of bending one knee to the ground while hanging your head low and placing your closed hand on your forehead. Tim Tebow, a very religious man, strikes this pose after most plays out of respect for God.

In the Tebowed assault case, police believe that the youth may have cut off a driver with his riding lawn mower as he tried to make a turn and veered onto the street. Perhaps in a fit of road rage or spying an easy victim to mock, the driver allegedly got out of the car and knocked the 17-year-old boy to the ground and assaulted the teen on the front yard of his residence.

After the perpetrator committed the assault, the victim says that the perpetrator took the time off to Tebow, before getting in his car and driving off.

Police are still looking for the suspect who was described as “a taller male, bald, wearing glasses” driving a 1980s Chrysler New Yorker, reports The Smoking Gun. Perhaps police should also include in the description someone who Tebows at inopportune times.

Once caught, the suspect in the Tebowed assault could face jail time. Maybe his Tebow pose was a prayer that he wouldn’t get caught. For those living in Shenango Township, Pennsylvania — Steeler Country — this most recent act just provides more fuel to hate the New York Jets.
