Lindsay Lohan Probation Revoked, Bench Warrant Issued

It seems like just yesterday when we discussed the consequences of a possible failed drug test from troubled drama queen Lindsay Lohan. Well it wasn't yesterday, it was two days ago. Today, news reports confirm that the actress has indeed failed at least one of the court required drug tests

According to CNN, Judge Eldon Fox has revoked Lohan's probation and signed a bench warrant. The warrant will not be enforced unless Lohan does not show up for her court hearing, which is scheduled for Friday morning, September 24.

A bench warrant is an arrest warrant issued by a judge for a failure to obey the authority of the court. For example, a bench warrant could be issued for a witness disobeying a subpoena, or can also be issued along with a criminal indictment. A bench warrant is often used regarding a failure to appear before the court for a scheduled appearance. Given Lohan's spectacular track record of excuses why she cannot appear (stolen passport, volcano ash) Judge Fox is likely trying to cover his bases, should Lohan not appear as scheduled on Friday.

Despite the past series of unfortunate events, bear witness please, to some of the more mature words out of the actresses mouth in a long while. According to CNN, Lohan tweeted Friday evening. "Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result."

Since her probation has been revoked, and the rules set by Judge Fox say jail time would be the result of a failed drug test, Lohan is looking at a possible return to jail. But nothing is certain, so if you still car at this point, stay tuned.
