Lindsay Lohan Plea Deal: 90 Days in Rehab for Car Crash, Lies

There's finally some closure to Lindsay Lohan's latest legal drama.

Lohan has agreed to spend 90 days in a drug rehab facility, according to CNN. This comes after Lohan agreed to a plea deal to settle her criminal charges.

The Los Angeles judge hearing the case even gave Lohan some candid advice: "Don't drive."

Lindsay Lohan's plea deal stems from a June 2012 car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway. At the time, LiLo allegedly lied to officers and told them that she was not behind the wheel, despite witnesses claiming the contrary.

Lohan was in court Monday to face charges of reckless driving, lying to police and obstructing justice. Her actions also allegedly violated the terms of her probation in a previous matter.

Lohan pleaded no contest to those charges. No contest isn't an admission of guilt. Rather, it's exactly as it sounds: The defendant doesn't plead guilty but doesn't fight the charge either.

No contest is a way of conceding to the charges without pleading guilty. So a no contest plea can't be used in a civil lawsuit as an admission of guilt.

The sentence for a plea of no contest and a guilty plea can sometimes be the same. In Lohan's case, she will spend 90 days in a locked-down rehab facility and 18 months in psychological therapy.

Her court date didn't flow seamlessly, however. First off, she arrived late and appeared somewhat "frazzled," according to The Associated Press. Then, she was glitter-bombed on her way into the courthouse, according to the Los Angeles Times. (While glitter-bombing can itself be considered battery, Lohan's glitter bomber was not arrested, the Times reports.)

Lohan has spent 250 days in rehab since January 2007. She's no stranger to court, either, having appeared at least 20 times before judges in Los Angeles.
