'LeBron James' Heroin: Drug Dealer Branded Drugs with NBA Star's Name

A drug dealer in Pennsylvania was arrested after trying to make a sale of heroin to an undercover cop. The brand name of the heroin? The Lebron James. The packet even featured a silhouette of the basketball player, reports United Press International.

Who knows why drug dealers choose different street names for their heroin. Fans of The Wire have all heard of the WMD, Pandemic, Bird Flu, Brokeback, and even the Bin Laden. Maybe these are labeled for how the heroin is supposed to make you feel?

If that's the case, the Lebron James brand can make you feel like a man among boys ... if taken in 2012. Previous to this year, it just might make you feel high until you need it the most.

Nineteen-year-old Marlon Guess of Philadelphia was arrested for possessing 140 packets of the drug. After the undercover cop tried to make the arrest, Guess reportedly tried to flee the scene in a rental car, but was stymied when he struck a police cruiser. He then tried to flee by foot, but was soon arrested, reports UPI.

For the crime, Guess could be sentenced to several years behind bars depending upon the weight of the heroin. His attempt to flee will only help prosecutors convict him and could favor an argument to give him the maximum penalty.

Of course, no one is accusing Lebron James of having any knowledge that his name or likeness was being used with the drug. And James would not be the first NBA player to be associated with a street bag of heroin. On The Wire, drug dealers in Baltimore could be heard shouting the "Sheed Wallace." If the Lebron James would make you feel like a man among boys, the Sheed Wallace probably would just make you feel plain crazy.

With Lebron James apparently off the market, heroin dealers may have to turn to other athlete names for their drugs. The Wilt Chamberlain could increase your libido (or confuse your math skills). The Mike Tyson could make the seemingly irrational, rational. And the Dwight Howard can make you feel like you have a great sense of humor, when you really don't.
