Kris Humphries Wants to Void Kardashian Prenup
Ah. The Kardashian prenup. It seems to be a hot topic of contention these days. Were you aware that Kim must buy her 20.5 carat diamond from Kris Humphries in the case of divorce? And that the document prevents both parties from revealing those intimate details you so want to know?
That confidentiality clause is reportedly why Kris wants the prenup dismissed. In addition to requesting an annulment, Radar Online is reporting that he is seeking to have the Kardashian prenup declared null and void.
He apparently wants to discuss the disastrous relationship with the press.
Whether he'll succeed in this venture remains to be seen. Prenuptial agreements are contracts, so there are only a limited number of ways to make them disappear.
One way to have the prenup dismissed would be to prove that he was fraudulently induced to sign the prenup. He'll have to show that the Kardashians -- Kim, specifically -- lied to him or withheld important facts. If he had known the truth, he wouldn't have signed the document.
If Kris succeeds in having his marriage to Kim annulled, the Kardashian prenup will also cease to exist. Prenups only become effective when a couple is legally married. An annulment invalidates the marriage, making it nonexistent.
If the marriage never existed, the Kardashian prenup never became effective.
Because Kris's annulment request is also based on allegations of fraud, he'll need some pretty solid evidence that he was duped into marrying Kim. If he finds it, he'll get to pretend that he was never married, and we'll get to know all the gory details.
