Rapper and Justin Bieber cohort Lil Twist was arrested for DUI in Southern California on Thursday... while driving Bieber's car.

Officers pulled over Lil Twist, whose legal name is Christopher Lynn Moore, for speeding in Bieber's Fisker Karma at 3:30 a.m. in Calabasas. The arresting officers believed that while he did not appear drunk, he did appear "under the influence of a substance," reports TMZ.

Drunk or not, a DUI for Bieber's buddy Lil Twist won't have lil' consequences.

Drugged Driving?

While 20-year-old Lil Twist is too young to legally purchase and imbibe alcohol, prior TMZ reports confirm he's just fine at "rolling blunts."

In all states, driving while impaired by a substance, regardless if the substance is alcohol or marijuana, can land a driver with a DUI.

Although it is still unclear what caused police to suspect that Lil Twist was under the influence, even legal prescription pills can be the source of a DUI charge.

A Lil' Speeding Leads to Stop

A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office reported that Lil Twist was pulled over for driving about 70 mph where "the speed limit on the street is 45 mph," as well as running a red light, reports the Los Angeles Times.

After pulling the friend o' Bieber over for a traffic violation, officers likely observed Lil Twist in an altered state, giving them probable cause to arrest him for DUI.

After the aspiring rapper was taken into custody, Bieber's chromed-out Fisker was towed and impounded.

Prior Arrest for Speeding

This is not the first time Lil Twist has been stopped for speeding; both he and Bieber were pulled over for speeding through the same Los Angeles-area community in late May.

Any unresolved traffic tickets and criminal charges may come back to haunt Lil Twist when the court determines how high his DUI bail should be set.

But maybe Justin can lend him a few of his Bieber bucks.
