One minute Judge Judy was on the bench, lording over her fake judicial empire. The next she was in an ambulance being rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

Well fear not Judge Judy fans, she is expected to be released from the hospital today and is joking about her medical scare on Twitter, the LA Times reports.

Judge Judy was rushed to the emergency room yesterday, after feeling nauseous while taping her show. A source told Radar Online: "She was just sitting on the stand during her show taping and she started saying things that didn't make any sense." Then: "She said, 'I need to stop, I'm not feeling well."

Judge Judy, real name Judy Sheindlin, joked about how she became ill during the show's taping.

"I asked my doc what was wrong with me..he said "ummm.." She said she told him "umm is not an answer! I'll be okay guys!... Fired the doc though, telling me "ummm..", not an answer u fool!"

Her spokesman, Gary Rosen, told KTLA News that he had spoke to Sheindlin and that "all of the tests are negative, and she's going home [Thursday]."

In the 1980s Judy Sheindlin was New York City's tough supervising family court judge, according to her bio. She gained notoriety after a 60 Minutes piece on her, and after her retirement from the real bench in 1996, she hit syndicated TV. While Judge Judy's antics are rarely seen in real courtrooms, her TV ratings have consistently been a winner.
