Jenelle Evans Arrested: Teen Mom 2 Star Harassed Ex-Roommate
MTV may need to keep some of their reality stars on a shorter leash. Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans was arrested on Tuesday for harassing her old roommate Hannah Inman.
Evans' attorney said the TV star was taken into custody for making threatening phone calls to Inman. Needless to say, this is not Evans' first time behind bars.
Authorities arrested Evans as she left a hospital, according to MSNBC. She had been sick with mono and strep throat. Talk about bad timing.
Inman was the roommate of James Duffy, who is Evans' former boss. Evans recently pressed charges against Duffy for cyberstalking and making threats.
Evans was quick to her own defense. She posted an explainer on Facebook. She wrote that Inman's accusations were false. She said Inman was simply mad because she "took out charges first on Duffy."
She also indicated that there was no way she could have made harassing phone calls to her old roommate. Evans noted that Inman doesn't even have a phone. A judge will have to sort all this out.
Even so, the MTV reality star could be in some legal trouble. She was released the same day of her arrest. But her short stint in jail doesn't mean she will get off.
Evans is currently on probation for her much-publicized street fight in 2011. Her arrest could amount to a probation violation. Evans could end up facing penalties including more community service, fines, or even jail.
The Teen Mom 2 star will appear in court on February 7. Hopefully the young mom stays out of trouble - and avoids making any further "Jenelle Evans Arrested" headlines.
