When it comes to CLE, options for in-house lawyers can be limited. Thankfully, the Association of Corporate Counsel, a bar association for in-house attorneys, has you covered when it comes to meeting your education requirements.

You're especially covered this May, when a slew of CLE trainings are offered. Here's a quick overview.

In-Person Learning

Everyone's earning their CLE credits in their PJs and on their couch these days. It's understandable, now that the 'net can beam in live or prerecorded trainings on demand. But, we still believe there's a benefit to heading out into the meatspace every now and then.

If you're in Dallas or Los Angeles, or if you just have an itch to get away for some training, the ACC is hosting two in-person trainings. This is a great opportunity to update your skills face to face with your peers -- just like they did in the old days! So here's the offerings:

Mini MBA For In-House Counsel, May 12-14, Los Angeles: Spend two-and-a-half days in the City of Angels learning essential business skills such as accounting, finance, strategy and management. This program focuses on understanding financial statements, business strategy and marketing, and risk analysis.

Corporate Counsel University, May 17-19, Dallas: Your all-in-one stop for two days of CLE training. This program covers a broad range of topics, from data privacy to employment law to ethics. Earn up to 12 CLE credits while networking with your peers in Texas.

Online Offerings

While grandpa hands out his business cards in-person, you can be cruising down the information super highway, and grabbing some CLE credits at the same time. If you don't want credits, you can still watch the trainings for free. Here's what's available:

Recent Developments in Privacy and Cybersecurity Law, May 7: If you've got a minute to spare today, pop in for this hour-long presentation on privacy and cybersecurity developments across the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Meeting a Company's Competitive Needs, May 14: Learning about enhancing responsibilities for in-house lawyers, with a focus on patents and IP.

OSHA Recordkeeping and Electrical Requirements, May 19: A straightforward presentation on some tricky OSHA compliance questions.

Disability and Other Leave's Impact on the ACA, May 21: How to manage employee leave and other benefits.

In-House Counsel's Guide to Trade Secrets, May 28: Protect your trade secrets from appropriation with this training.
