Gucci Mane Arrested: Threw Woman Out of Moving Hummer
In a not-so-surprising turn of events, Rapper Gucci Mane, born Radric Davis, was arrested again on Friday while visiting his long-time probation officer.
The charges stem from a January incident during which he allegedly pushed a woman out of his moving Hummer after she refused $150 for sex.
According to the police report, the artist formally known as Radric Davis picked up a woman from a local mall, inviting her to breakfast, reports The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She agreed to the impromptu request and entered his vehicle.
Gucci Mane eventually changed his mind, offering her $150 for a detour to a local hotel, notes the paper.
She said no, so he shoved her out of his moving vehicle, authorities say.
Gucci Mane née Radric Davis is now being charged with misdemeanor battery and violating probation.
If you're wondering why he isn't being charged with solicitation (known as "pandering" in Georgia), it's most likely due to a lack of evidence.
After the woman was pushed from the car, an ambulance arrived at the scene, and according to the Journal-Constitution, she had visible bodily harm. There is no corresponding evidence that can substantiate a solicitation charge.
Even if there were, the battery charge is enough to send Gucci Mane back to jail. He's violated his probation multiple times since being released after serving half of a one year sentence for violating his probation.
Given the frequency at which he violates probation, and the violence that is often involved, expect Gucci Mane to end up in jail soon.
