Gory Halloween Decorations Scare Neighbor Into Calling 911

One Oklahoma man's grim Halloween decorations "tricked" people so well that a neighbor called 911. Johnnie Mullins decked out his yard with ghosts, tombstones, and two surprisingly realistic-looking bodies in his driveway.

The hardcore Halloween enthusiast fashioned a dummy to look like it was person crushed to death by a garage door. Will the gruesome prank get Mullins a handcuff trick or a law enforcement treat?

Trick: Crushed Kenny

Mullins positioned one dummy coined "Crushed Kenny" to look like his head had been crushed by the garage door. A second body was placed under a car in the driveway, as if it had been run over, reports Oklahoma City's KWTV-TV.

One neighbor who genuinely believed the bodies were real called 911.

"My heart about came out of my chest. I thought, 'Oh my God,'" said another neighbor, Rebecca Fuentes. "I think it's real, just think of what a child would think?"

But Mullins, a father of two, isn't buying it. "The kids that live in the neighborhood don't freak out or anything. I'm sure they do at first," he said.

If neighbors wanted to be total party poopers about getting the crap scared out of them, they could pursue a claim of intentional infliction of emotional distress against Mullins. But in reality, such a lawsuit would be pretty ridiculous -- not to mention expensive -- considering it's one of the most difficult injuries to prove.

A better question is how his homeowner's association feels about his new avant-garde decor.

Treat: Dead Fred

It seems Mullins' neighbors will need to grow some thicker skin because "Crushed Kenny" won't be dragged away and buried anytime soon.

Though police and firefighters responded to the scene of the "crime" after the 911 call, they informed Mullins that he wasn't breaking any laws and gave him permission to keep ol' Kenny in his precarious position under the garage door. The officers even gave a green light to add "Dead Fred": a second bloodied dummy which looks like it's being run over by his truck, reports KWTV-TV.

The only mystery that remains: who killed Kenny?
