Golfer Greg Norman and Chris Evert Get Quickie Divorce

Golfing great Greg Norman and Tennis champ Chris Evert recently called it quits with a quickie divorce.

The couple got their quickie divorce secretly, ending 15 months of marriage. The two separated in October.

It is Norman's second divorce and Evert's third.

According to the the Palm Beach Post, Evert and Norman were granted a final judgment dissolving marriage and promised to abide by a prenuptial agreement they signed June 2, 2008, three weeks before their wedding.

It appears that their prenuptial agreement may have done its job -- preventing a drawn out dispute over assets once the couple split.

A prenuptial agreement ("prenup" for short) is a written contract created by two people before they are married. A prenup typically lists all of the property each person owns (as well as any debts) and specifies what each person's property rights will be after the marriage.

Norman and Evert were married at a resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas in June 2008 in a beachfront ceremony at sunset in front of Evert's three children.

They  ended their union in secret in Florida on December 5, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The divorce papers state: "The bonds of marriage between Greg Norman and Chris Evert are dissolved because the marriage is irretrievably broken and the parties are restored to the status of being single."

Photos of the two kissing were all over websites in 2008, when Norman was in the hunt to win the British Open, and also was talking about how being with Evert had helped his game.

No money changed hands in the Evert/Norman divorce. Norman had to hand over more than $100 million to first wife Laura Andrassy when they split.

Norman, worth half-a-billion dollars, reportedly left Andrassy for Evert in 2006 after 28 years of marriage.
