How does $10,000 sound to take the edge off the bitterness that can develop from reflecting on three years of camping out at the law school library, paying a six-figure sum in fees, and missing major events of family and friends?
Well, that's what the non-profit organization Access Group is attempting to do with its video scholarship contest hosted on YouTube. And now you can click in to the action of deciding the winner. Voting is on now and continues for just a couple more days, with virtual polls closing on August 21st.
What's it all about?
It's called "My Inspiration" video contest and features entries from U.S. students attending law school or LLM programs. Employing humor, emotion, and wit the videos highlight, in fact and fiction, what drew contestants to law school.
Besides the top prize of a $10k scholarship, to be awarded to the entry with the most votes, up to five $1500 prizes are slotted to be distributed for honorable mentions. In its sophomore year, Access Group received over 100 submissions.
So vote away as you reminisce, experience, or plan for your days as an "L".
