Geezer Bandit Strikes Again, But Leaves Day Planner Behind

Police might be closer to catching a notoriously elusive California robber: the "Geezer Bandit." The robber has already struck around 16 different banks in the state. He also recently left behind a crucial piece of evidence: his day planner.

The Geezer Bandit's day planner was found in a parking lot after the criminal robbed a Bank of America branch in San Luis Obispo last week.

A bank teller placed cash and some red dye in a bag before giving it to the robber. The Geezer Bandit placed the packet into his day planner before running off. The packet exploded. Authorities believe he accidentally left the day planner behind in his haste to get away from the scene.

The day planner is currently being investigated at a FBI lab in Quantico, reports Sign On San Diego.

Police are also closely scrutinizing SPFX Masks. The company produces a very realistic "old man" disguise. Authorities believe that the Geezer Bandit may actually be a younger individual who is simply donning a mask sold by the company. The bandit may even be a woman.

Of course, it's also possible that the Geezer Bandit truly is an old man.

The Geezer Bandit may face a hefty jail sentence if he's found and convicted. Bank robbery is a federal crime. Violators of the code can face prison terms of up to ten or twenty years, depending on how much money they stole and if they used force during the criminal act.

One can only hope that the Geezer Bandit's day planner provides some hints about his identity. Or, at the least, maybe the planner will shed some light as to when the robber plans to pull off his next heist.
