Gary Coleman's Body Not Buried One Year After Death, Manager Says
Tragedy still stalks deceased actor Gary Coleman, whose remains do not yet rest in peace. And the tragedy is wrapped in an unresolved legal issue about whether Coleman was married at the time of his death.
Coleman's former manager Vic Perillo has announced that, as the first anniversary of Coleman's death approaches, Coleman's parents and estranged wife still dispute the arrangements, reports WENN-TV.
Coleman died in Utah at age 42 in May 2010, after suffering an intracranial hemorrhage. He had been in ill health, suffering from kidney disease which stunted his growth. After starring the television series "Diff'rent Strokes" for eight years, Coleman had pursued made-for-televsion movies. He also served as a spokesman for the National Kidney Foundation, reports the Huffington Post.
Perillo has said the dispute between Coleman's parents and estranged wife arises from "the money being tied up," as reported by Blackmediascoop.com.
The circumstances of Coleman's death seemed destined to create conflict among Coleman's immediate family.
Coleman suffered a brain hemorrhage either before or because of a fall. After two days on life support, wife Shannon Price ordered life support to be removed, as reported in New York Daily News.
"Now there's some questions about whether or not they were married at the time of the death and whether [Shannon] had the authority to pull the plug at the hospital," Coleman's attorney Randy Kester observed shortly after Coleman died, reports nydailynews.com.
