Free Sample: Yogurt Tainted With Semen

Complaints about razors in ice cream or earrings in McDonald's hamburgers have been put to shame. Tainted yogurt is now king.

Walking through Sunflower Farmers Market, a New Mexico grocery store, a 28-year-old woman and her daughter were stopped by an employee, Anthony Garcia. He proceeded to offer her a sample of yogurt.

In her written statement, the woman called Garcia "pushy," saying that he had brought the sample just for her. Upon tasting it, she immediately spit it out. It tasted like semen.

When the woman spoke to the manager, reports The Smoking Gun, she was told that the tainted yogurt was actually Greek yogurt, and that people liked it because it had a lot of protein. Yeah, that's one way to put it.

The woman eventually called the police, who discovered that Garcia had outstanding bench warrants. After questioning a nervous Garcia, the site reports that the police acquired a warrant for his DNA. The tainted yogurt was a match.

Anthony Garcia is likely facing charges at the local level. Amongst those charges may be battery. Most states define battery as intentionally making harmful or offensive contact with another person. Contact includes causing something else to touch a person, such as when a person uses a cane to trip someone. This was the case here, since Garcia caused the woman to ingest his semen without her consent.

And though no one is quite sure why Anthony Garcia decided to pass out tainted yogurt, his conduct was definitely offensive.
