FBI Warns on Wireless Network Security
Users of wireless Internet or network connections should take steps to ensure they have the best possible security measures in place, according to a warning issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). According to the FBI press release, the warning is based on information indicating that "computer hackers in Europe have developed a method for cutting through the security provided by the WEP [Wireless Encryption Protocol] within a matter of seconds," and the FBI is concerned that use of this method could soon become more widespread.
