Matthew Fox Assaults Woman: Drunk 'Lost' Star Punched Her Crotch, Breasts?

A drunk Matthew Fox punched and hit a bus driver in Cleveland, Ohio early Sunday morning after she refused to let him onto her bus, the driver alleges. Matthew Fox's assault may soon result in criminal or civil charges.

Heather Bormann, the 29-year-old bus driver that Fox allegedly assaulted says she was chartering a bus for a private party outside a local bar. She did not recognize Fox, who is famous for starring in the popular television series Lost.

She says that Fox approached several bus drivers asking if they could take him back to his hotel. Finally, he tried to board her bus. She refused to take him, telling him that the bus was already reserved for a private party. That's when Fox allegedly lost his cool, according to The Plain Dealer.

Bormann says that Fox started "swinging on her," USA Today reports. The assault left bruises on her arms, legs, thighs and chest. She says that Fox punched her in the crotch and breast.

The bus driver eventually punched him back, hoping to end the assault. But, Fox allegedly attacked her again, prompting Bormann to hit Fox on the head, reports The Plain Dealer.

Several onlookers came to Bormann's rescue. An off-duty police officer then detained Fox, who was sent back to his hotel with his friend, The Plain Dealer reports.

Fox is currently in Cleveland for the filming of "I, Alex Cross," according to The Plain Dealer.

Bormann has indicated that she would like to press charges against the actor, reports The Plain Dealer. She is also contemplating a civil suit.

A civil suit could help her recover some money to compensate for her injuries. Her hand was injured after she tried to defend herself. Plus, let's not forget that while drunk, Matthew Fox allegedly punched her in the crotch and breast, likely causing at least some bruising. A successful civil suit could also compensate her for any lasting emotional trauma that Matthew Fox's assault may have left. And no, being drunk is usually not a defense to assault or battery.
