Actor Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller want to kiss and make up and their wish could be granted with a day in court.

TMZ reported that the couple have a court date on January 20 and the judge is expected to hear the motion to modify the protection order currently in place.

As previously discussed, the couple say they want to reconcile after Mueller's domestic violence report to the police on Christmas Day. Mueller told police the actor threatened her life with a knife during an arguement that that started when she said she wanted a divorce.

Their lawyers say the pair wants to be together again. Sheen's attorney, Richard Cummins, said he is asking a judge to modify a restraining order that prevents the couple from having contact.

The 44-year-old actor spent the better part of Christmas Day in a Colorado jail cell after being arrested on domestic violence allegations.

Sheen, the star of CBS' "Two and a Half Men," was released after posting $8,500 bond and advised by a county judge on the conditions of his release.

Sheen is the son of actor Martin Sheen and brother of actor-director Emilio Estevez. He is married to Brooke Mueller Sheen, who gave birth to the couple's twin boys in March 2008.

Since Christmas Day incident, Hanes has reportedly ended its advertising campaign featuring Charlie Sheen because of domestic violence charges filed against the actor.

According to Hanes company spokesman Matt Hall, Sheen has been a pitchman for almost two years and the impact from pulling the ads is minimal.

During the incident with Mueller, Sheen told police they slapped each other and that he snapped two pairs of her eyeglasses in front of her. But he denied threatening Mueller with a knife.

Sheen faces second-degree assault and menacing, both felonies, along with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
