Christina Milian May Sue Over Gum in Her Steak Salad

Christina Milian found gum in her steak salad in a Studio City, California restaurant last week.

Milian was reportedly happily munching on her Kobe beef salad when she chewed on something that did not have the right texture - namely, a giant wad of gum.

Let's try to guess what might have popped into Christina Milian's mind at this exact moment:

"This doesn't seem like a piece of lettuce. Lettuce is crispy. This is chewy."

Or how about:

"Maybe this is a piece of Kobe steak? But, Kobe beef comes from cows that get massages. Kobe beef is supposed to be tender, not gummy. Wait... gummy..."

Milian reportedly spit out the chewed-up wad of gum and looked at it in horror, according to celebrity gossip siteTMZ.

Unsurprisingly, the gummy substance in her salad turned out to be a huge wad of gum.

Milian filed a complaint with the Los Angeles Department of Health over the gum incident, TMZ reports. The restaurant did try to make amends by covering the cost of her meal, but it seems that Milian had already been traumatized.

The R&B star is now seeking legal counsel to help her exact justice over the gum incident. She says that the wants to ensure that her health hasn't suffered from having the foreign piece of gum in her mouth. She's also been too traumatized to eat at any restaurants since then.

Does Milian have a good legal claim? She could likely argue that the restaurant was negligent in their salad preparation. After all, having a piece of gum in a salad isn't exactly normal.

But, to prevail in a lawsuit, the R&B singer will have to show that she suffered some sort of actual harm. From a legal standpoint, did she suffer any injury or illnesses from the wad of gum? Hate to burst your bubble, Christina Milian. But your only cause of action may be that the incident caused you intense emotional distress. But will a court buy it?
