Camille Grammer: Kelsey Won't Let Kids Appear on 'Housewives'

According to Camille Grammer, kids Mason, 9, and Jude, 6, won't be appearing on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills due to the fact that ex-husband Kelsey Grammer won't sign the release.

The pair, whose separation and divorce were fodder for the show's first season, are currently locked in a heated custody battle over the two kids, with court dates set in the near future.

Can Camille Grammer get the judge to weigh in?

When it comes to children of divorce, custody agreements determine which parent has the ability to make a final decision regarding a child's well-being.

As of now, the pair appears to have joint legal custody of the children even though they likely seek to change that. What this means is that they both have an equal right to make decisions about how to raise their children, including those decisions that deal with publicity.

As in the case of Kelsey and Camille Grammer, this obviously causes a lot of tension between co-parents, as they often don't agree on how to raise their kids.

On occasion, a judge may agree to step in if mediation fails to solve the problem. But will the judge step in for Camille Grammer?

Kids don't need to appear on reality television shows, which makes it unlikely that the judge presiding over the custody case will intervene in this disagreement. They tend to limit their interference to special situations that involve basic and necessary care, like medical treatment and homeschooling.
