There are a number of ways that you can while away the day on your iPhone. Angry Birds. Facebook. Antograph. Apps, you see, have replaced eyes as the windows to the soul.

Now, California lawyers have a new app option: the FindLaw Legal News App.

That saves you time, and relieves the guilt associated with reading information that you can't bill for.

Yes, we're partial to FindLaw products for fairly obvious reasons, but the app is free. What do you have to lose?

Picture this: You're about to argue before California Supreme Court Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye. Or maybe it's Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Chief Judge Alex Kozinski. Either way, you're nervous. We enjoy the trivial pursuits that the iPhone has to offer as much as anyone else. (Yesterday we spent 10 minutes discreetly snapping photos of a fellow train passenger while he fashioned a hat from balloon animals, and then uploaded the picture to Instagram.)
