CA Woman Cut off Husband's Penis, Tossed in Garbage Disposal

California woman Catherine Kieu Becker, 48, has been arrested for cutting off her husband's penis. After she sliced it off, she then threw the penis in the garbage disposal.

Police are still trying to figure out why Becker cut off her husband's penis, but reports are that told officers that he "deserved" it, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Slicing off her husband's penis? Putting it into the garbage disposal? Becker must have been upset about something.

Becker also told police that she first drugged her husband's dinner and tied him down onto the bed before beginning the assault, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The husband was not identified, but he was taken to a local hospital.

Becker was arrested on charges of aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning and spousal abuse, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Ouch, and ouch. Whatever the motivations Becker had for her crime, it's certainly not the first time a wife has cut off her husband's penis. Lorena Bobbitt infamously cut off the penis of her husband, John Wayne, an ex-marine. Bobbitt cut off her husband's penis after he allegedly came home drunk one night and raped her.

Though, Becker's motivations - at least for now - are unclear. Why did he "deserve" it? Reports are that they were married at the time of the assault, but were going through divorce proceedings, reports the Los Angeles Times. So, was the assault financially motivated? Was it something to do with the divorce, or infidelity?

Unfortunately though, even if Becker felt that he "deserved" it, "justice" is usually not a defense to a crime. And, it might be difficult to plead other defenses, like self-defense, considering Becker has told authorities that her husband was drugged - and tied - before the assault began.

Whatever Becker's motivations are, the facts are still grisly and cringe-worthy: cutting off her husband's penis, putting the penis in the garbage disposal. Becker is being held in jail, with her bail set at $1 million, reports The Smoking Gun.
