'Bling Ring' Member Alexis Neiers Surrenders, Begins Jail Time
"Pretty Wild" reality star Alexis Neiers turned herself into authorities for her alleged role in the celebrity "Bling Ring" case.
Alexis Neiers, 18, pleaded no contest to first-degree residential burglary last month in the "Bling Ring" case and was sentenced to 180 days in jail, the Los Angeles Times reports. The Hollywood Hills burglars, mostly 18 and 19 year-olds, are known as the "Bling Ring." The case garnered much media attention because of the celebrity victims.
Now, this is the part where it may get "pretty wild" as the young reality TV star will be leaving her upscale neighborhood of Calabasas to begin her six-month jail term.
As previously discussed, a group of celeb-obsessed teen robbers are allegedly responsible for robbing the homes of Paris Hilton, Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom, Ashley Tisdale, Rachel Bilson and Audrina Patridge.
Alexis Neiers pleaded no contest to her part in burglarizing the home of the star of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Lord of the Rings," Orlando Bloom, as previously discussed.
Under California law, a no contest plea to a charge of burglary has the same effect as an admission of guilt.
According to investigators, the teenagers used celebrity gossip sites and other Web-based tools to track the whereabouts of their victims -- a roster of young Hollywood celebs.
The judge gave Neiers two days credit for time already served. Neiers was taken into custody.
