Beyonce's Baby Delivery May Get NY Hospital Sued by Angry Parents

Baby girl Blue Ivy may only be a few days old, but the Beyonce baby drama has already started.

Patients at Lenox Hill Hospital -- where Beyonce and Jay-Z paid a reported $1.3 million to seal off and renovate a special wing -- are crying foul at the couple's bodyguards. They were apparently quite rude to a group of mothers attending a breastfeeding class.

And they allegedly kept a father from visiting his premature and underweight twins in the NICU.

That father -- Neil Coulon -- claims that Beyonce's bodyguards barred him from the NICU on at least three occasions, reports the New York Daily News. They also allegedly cleared the waiting room of family members waiting to see his wife and children.

The breastfeeding mothers are contemplating a lawsuit, according to TMZ. But Coulon only wants an apology.

Ironically, Coulon and his wife would have the better lawsuit -- against the hospital and Beyonce's bodyguards.

The hospital probably should have wielded more control over the bodyguards. They have a duty to ensure patient access and privacy. But the breastfeeding mothers have only complained of rudeness -- Coulon was denied access to his premature twins.

If he chooses to sue, he may be able to bring a successful claim for both negligent and intentional emotional distress. It's arguably indecent to keep a new father from his ailing children. It likely added to the emotional turmoil and stress of the situation.

Beyonce's baby drama also probably severely affected his recovering -- and hormonal -- wife.

It thus wouldn't be at all surprising if he chose to sue.
