AZ Threesome Tried to Arrange Sex with a Dog Via Craigslist

"Woman seeking dog" is not a legitimate category on Craigslist's online personal ads. But that didn't stop three Arizona swingers from allegedly using the site to try to commit bestiality with a dog.

Sheriff's deputies arrested Shane Walker, 38, his wife Sara, 33, and their friend Robert Aucker, 29, after they allegedly went online to find a dog for Sara Walker to have sex with, Phoenix's KPHO-TV reports.

The trio got in touch with a man who offered a male golden shepherd canine mix to fulfill their bestiality fetish. But the man turned out to be an undercover sheriff's deputy.

Shane and Sara Walker told deputies they were "swingers" in an open marriage, in which Robert Auker would sometimes have sex with Sara, KPHO reports.

Sara Walker allegedly told Auker she dreamed of having sex with a dog. Auker and Shane Walker planned to watch, The Arizona Republic reports.

The threesome's alleged bestiality dream almost came true. They arranged to meet with the undercover officer, and even invited him and the dog's owner to join in, according to KPHO.

But instead of group sex, there was a group arrest. All three are charged with conspiracy to commit bestiality with a dog.

For a conspiracy charge to stick, prosecutors must show the suspects agreed to commit an unlawful act, and took some action toward its completion. The intended crime -- in this case, bestiality -- does not have to occur.

It's not clear which of the three arrestees actually placed the ad or made contact with the undercover officer. But if any of the alleged co-conspirators took no action to further the conspiracy, she or he may have a defense.

Bestiality is a Class 6 felony in Arizona. If convicted, each alleged co-conspirator faces up to 18 months in prison along with possible fines for trying to arrange for sex with a dog.
