Applebee's Customer Arrested for Using Waitress' Stolen ID

What goes around comes right back around, in some cases. A woman who was the victim of identity theft was handed her own stolen ID when she carded a customer at an Applebee's in Colorado, where she works as a waitress. Brianna Priddy's wallet was stolen the day before Valentine's Day, during a night out on the town. Then someone began writing bad checks using her identity, Denver's KUSA-TV reports. Almost two weeks went by before Priddy came face to face with the very people who had allegedly stolen her identity. The fateful encounter happened when four individuals came in and sat down in her section at Applebee's in the Denver suburb of Lakewood. The four ordered drinks, so Priddy asked for their IDs. One of the girls in the party handed over her identification. Only, it wasn't her ID. It was Priddy's ID. The Applebee's patron didn't realize that she was handing the fake ID to its actual owner. Priddy, however, played it cool. She just told the customer that she'd be back with the margarita. Then she went straight to the phone and called police. Unfortunately for Priddy's alleged identity thief, the stolen ID wasn't her only problem. She also had illegal drugs in her possession. According to police, those drugs were possessed for the purpose of being sold. The woman, whose name has not been released, is now facing felony charges. These charges include theft, identity theft, and criminal impersonation. Priddy's case was one odd coincidence. It's not often that one gets vindication that easily against the person who stole her identity.
