'American Pie's' Jason Biggs Ordered Prostitute with Wife

For American Pie star Jason Biggs, a prostitute has brought him and his wife Jenny Mollen closer together. You read that right, a prostitute that didn't harm, but helped, a marriage.

How? The two ordered a prostitute together while on a trip to Las Vegas.

Mollen blogged about the experience in an article for The Smoking Jacket, a website that is affiliated with Playboy. The couple has been married for three years: hence the need to spice up their marriage, it seems.

Mollen's post about the experience was both graphic and humorous. But many may wonder - how is this legal?

In most states it's not. Prostitution is largely legal in Nevada - but not entirely. The practice is still subject to restrictions. Certain counties in the state have barred prostitution completely. Some counties have legalized prostitution but only in those cities that grant permission.

So basically, you shouldn't call up a prostitute unless you know its legal - even if you're in Nevada.

For those cities that allow prostitution, industry workers are also subject to certain regulations. They must wear a condom, and are tested for sexually transmitted diseases and HIV. Brothels and prostitutes need to be licensed and registered.

America's prostitution laws are also relatively unique. Most countries have either legalized prostitution or banned the practice. In a survey of about 100 countries' prostitution laws, 50% of the countries legalized prostitution.

Some 40% of countries banned the practice, and only 10% had limited legality like in the United States. Legalized prostitution, however, still comes with certain rules and regulations. Most countries with legal prostitution also do not condone the practice.

Long story short: Jenny Mollen and Jason Biggs' prostitute-filled Vegas story depicts a legal act. And it apparently sparked some fuzzy feelings between the married couple. Mollen wrote that "something was rekindled" and that she "felt closer" to her husband after the tryst.
