Amber Portwood Gives Full Custody of Daughter Leah to Gary Shirley

Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley have had a rocky relationship, and there's video to prove it. But the incarcerated "Teen Mom" star has made an adult decision: She's giving Shirley full custody of their 3-year-old daughter Leah.

Portwood, 22, of Anderson, Ind., is serving a five-year prison sentence for unlawful possession of prescription drugs. That's separate from her prior arrest for domestic violence in 2010, when she attacked Shirley in an altercation that aired on MTV's "Teen Mom" reality show.

Though Portwood is giving Shirley full custody of Leah, "Teen Mom" fans witnessed yet another fight between the couple on TV this week, according to the website The Inquisitr.

In Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley's latest public dispute, Shirley told Portwood to "get her s--- together," The Inquisitr reports. That's when Portwood "flipped out on Gary," the website says.

We'll take their word for it.

Shirley, 25, is now fully responsible for Leah's care, upbringing, and expenses. The young dad, however, told Portwood on TV, "You are going to be able to see Leah whenever you want," according to The Christian Post.

But some have questioned Shirley's parenting skills, and have even speculated that Leah was being largely reared by her grandmother, the website Starcasm reports.

In response, Shirley took to Twitter to say, "I do have a great mom. But she doesn't raise my kid."

Shirley also took to Twitter in another way -- by starting a Twitter account for daughter Leah.

What is Leah saying on Twitter? Her latest tweets, sent nearly two months ago, include: "I love my grandma!," "Happy Father's Day, daddyyyy! :)," and "Will always <3 my mommy."

If you're wondering (like we were), Twitter apparently doesn't have an age requirement. Still, Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley may want to make sure that Leah's tweets don't get them into any more trouble than what they're already facing.
