Alleged Stalker Tries to Keep Up with Kim Kardashian

It's no joke to Reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

She doesn't find anything amusing about her alleged stalker who shows up to her appearances as the Joker from "Batman" covered in facepaint.

The 26-year-old man is accused of stalking while trying to keep up with Kim Kardashian at her promotional events and online through Twitter.

According to the Associated Press, the Keeping up with the Kardashians reality tv star got a temporary restraining order against a man she describes as "extremely delusional," court records show.

Dennis Shaun Bowman, 26, is the alleged stalker and told Kardashian he is interested in a romantic relationship and sends daily messages to her about being in love and wanting to get married.

Kardashian sought the order after Bowman allegedly ignored cease-and-desist letters from her lawyer and orders from Los Angeles police to stop pursuing her.

The restraining order mandates that Bowman stay at least 500 feet from Kardashian at all times and make no attempts to contact her.

In addition, it prohibits Bowman from trying to contact the reality television star in any way, including via Twitter -- making it harder now for him to keep up with Kim.

The court filings detail several close encounters in which Bowman tried to reach Kardashian at promotional appearances.

An order of protection is signed by a judge and can be drafted to meet your specific needs as they apply to your situation.

Typically, a protection order does the following:

  • Prohibit the abuser from contacting, attacking, striking, telephoning, or disturbing the peace of the victim;
  • Force the abuser to move from a residence shared with the victim;
  • Order the abuser to stay at least 100 yards away from the victim, his or her place of residence, and place of employment;
  • Order the abuser to attend counseling; and
  • Prohibit the abuser from purchasing a firearm.
